It’s capital city is Vientiane. It is where we went to get our Non-B visa which is a pre-requisite to obtain a working permit in Thailand. It took us 12 hours or more by bus from Bangkok to Nongkai – border of Thailand and Laos. Tourists and travelers may prefer visiting Laos by bus, train or airplane.
We stayed for 2 days and a night, enough to get our visa stamped at the Thai Embassy. Since it was a short trip, we wasted no time to see the sights of the beautiful and peaceful city of Vientiane.
This is the quietest city I’ve ever been. The surrounding is so green and the people are warm and friendly.
