on my first hospital visit, i had to undergo several tests to check my entire health and ensure my well being during my pregnancy. i had to decide wisely which hospital to go to. the nearest one but gained less approval as to services or the farther one which gained quite an excellent reputation. well having a baby is costly, so i don’t have to mind how pricey it could get (as long as i can pay the bill) and as long as ‘we’ are well-checked and taken cared of.

on the second appointment to the ob-gyn, i could hear the little one’s heartbeat… as i’ve described it to my friends… “it’s magical!” it’s nature’s ways probably, the magic of life that there’s life inside one’s life! truly amazing!
when i started this pregnancy, i thought i just got sick, the normal sickness i felt when i wasn’t pregnant. eventually i get tired easily, wanted to sleep for hours and needless to say i needed to eat alot too! it was surprising how my 55kls weight rocketed to 60 for two months. well it’s normal to gain weight when you’re expecting.

as for cravings, there’s none in particular. i could eat anything especially fruits. sickness..? i’m too sick of this tenacious colds every night and morning. luckily, i threw up only twice. if you’re on an aircon bus with bad underarm odor passengers, who wouldn’t get nauseated?

at this period, the baby is almost 14 weeks old; actual start of the second trimester. my researches at babycenter.com says: fingerprints have formed on my baby’s tiny fingertips, his/her veins and organs are clearly visible through his/her still-thin skin, and his/her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of his/her body size now. my baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.
